Chattanooga dropped both of its matches to SoCon opponents last weekend, with a 7-0 shutout at Samford Friday and a tough, tightly contested 4-3 loss at home to Mercer on Sunday (March 23). It went down to the wire against Mercer, tied 3-3 after back-and-forth singles action before the Bears won the No. 3 singles 6-3, 3-6, 6-4. The Mocs will look to snap their skid, as they dropped to 10-9 overall and 1-2 in SoCon matchups.

ETSU enters the weekend 8-5 overall following a 4-0 loss to nationally ranked No. 65 Florida Atlantic on Wednesday (March 19). The defeat marks the end of the Buccaneers' previous seven-match win streak, which dated back to February 23 and included both a 7-0 sweep of UNCG and a 6-1 win over Wofford to make them 2-0 in SoCon play. ETSU will travel to Mercer on Thursday before Chattanooga hosts them on Saturday. The Mocs lost 4-0 in their last meeting on April 19, 2024.

Chattanooga will return to the courts to conclude its four-match homestand and home slate with a pair of SoCon matches when the Mocs host Furman on Friday, April 4 and Wofford on Saturday, April 5 for senior day.
