Pauline E. Hancock Cates Plemmons, a lifelong resident of Chattanooga died on Thursday, February 16, 2006 in a local hospital.
She was a member of Tyner United Methodist Church and the East Brainerd Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Plemmons was a graduate of Tyner High School and had worked at McClellans, W.T. Grants and Revco. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother and the matriarch of the family.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Isam L. Cates, second husband, Floyd Plemmons, parents, Claude and Roxie Hancock, a brother, C. L. Hancock, and a son, James Plemmons.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Boynton, Ooltewah, TN; three sons, Robert Cates, Sonny Cates and Jim Cates, all of Ooltewah; grandchildren, Phillip Skipper, LA, Miki Plemmons, Ooltewah, Michael Plemmons and wife, Joanna, Ooltewah, Sandra West and husband, Buddy, Cleveland, TN, Tim Oliver and wife, Tammy, Lebanon, TN, Tonya Boots and husband Craig, Altus, OK and TJ DeRollo, Clearwater, FL; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service and visitation will be private.
Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 404 South Moore Road.
