Opal Patricia Young Whaley, 62, died on Monday, May 29, 2006.
She was born Oct. 18, 1943, to the late Curtis and Betty Young in LaFayette, GA. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Whaley, of Rock Spring; four daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and J.T. Bradley, of LaFayette, Rhonda and David Anderson, of Signal Mountain, Tabitha and Joe Kather, of Coffee Springs, AL, and Robin and Robert Hillhouse, of Ringgold; five sisters, Wanda Pettigrew, Darlene Broome and Faye Whaley, all of LaFayette, Ina Young, of Rome, and Barbara Ford, of Lima, OH; brother, Glen Young, of LaFayette; eight grandchildren, Jason and Gage Bradley, Devin and David Anderson, Zach Rowlette, Corey and Noah Bennett and Arricka Parks; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, in Wilson Funeral Home’s LaFayette Chapel in LaFayette.
