Alice Virginia Rivers Falls, 84, of Chattanooga, died on Tuesday, July 29, 2008, after a short illness.
A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, she was a 1941 graduate of Chattanooga Central High School. She worked as office manager for Associated Mechanical Contractors and was past Worthy Matron of the Red Bank OES #72. She was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Alice enjoyed travel sports and coached girls softball in Red Bank for several years. She was the first manager of the current Skipper Fairbanks Swimming Center and was active in other youth activities.
She was the daughter of the late George Allen and Louise Parker Rivers and was preceded in death by an infant son, Jerry Allen Falls.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Raymond D. Falls; mother-in-law, Julia Moore Falls; brother, William P. (Katherine) Rivers Sr., Palm Springs, Ca.; daughters, Rae Geren, Portland, Maine and Catherine Falls and husband, David Lardner, Atlanta; son, Robert L. Falls, Shawnee, Ok.; two grandsons, Mark Allen (Cheri) Geren, Portland, Maine, and Michael Andrew (Julie) Geren, Stratham, N.H.; cousins, Helen Parker Donalson, Jack (Elaine) Parker, Wilson (Kitty) Parker, Helen Hibdon, Dorothy (George) Shuford, all of Chattanooga, Barbara Hill (Roy) Stoops, Owensboro, Ky., David (Elaine) Parker, South Carolina. Alice will also be missed by her nieces and nephews and many friends.
Services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Rev. Larry Schenk officiating.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Falls, Mark Geren, Michael Geren, Ben Cagle, Phillip Kelly and David Lardner.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 East Brainerd Road.
