Akridge, Wilma Deane Moore

Wilma Deane Moore Akridge, 62, of Chattanooga, died on Friday, July 8, 2011, at her residence.

She was employed by the city of Chattanooga and was a faithful member of Antioch Primitive Baptist Church where she was involved in several organizations.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Florence E. Hammond Berry and Hammond Moore Jr.; stepfather, George Berry Jr.; and brother, Alfred Kelly Crutcher.

Survivors include her sons, Vincent S. (Nidza) Akridge, Anthony G. Akridge and Napoleon A. Akridge; daughter, Teressa Henderson (Eric) Jackson; grandchildren, Napoleon "T.J." Akridge, Jordan Henderson Jackson, Vincent E. Akridge, Kennedy V. Jackson, Kendall A. Jackson and Donovan E. Akridge; former husband and devoted friend, Napoleon B. "Jay" Akridge; brothers, Charles (Rebell) Moore, Kenneth Moore and Larry Moore; sisters, Fannie Burwell, Carolyn Dandy and Rosemary (Cleo) Heard; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 16, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Minister Elder Leslie officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 15, from 6-8 p.m. at Antioch Primitive Baptist Church, 1107 N. Hickory St.
