Salvation Army Sky Kids Camp Is June 18-22

  • Monday, June 4, 2012

A summer kids’ event called Sky will be hosted by The Salvation Army at Cleveland’s Deer Park June 18-22.

At Sky, faith and imagination soar as kids discover that everything is possible with God. Kids participate in Bible-learning activities, sing songs, play team-building games, experience Bible adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them to trust God, and test out Sciency-Fun Gizmos they’ll take home and play with all summer long. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Each day concludes with Fly Away Finale—a celebration that gets everyone involved in living what they have learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join in the Sky finale on June 22.

Sgt. Ruthie Forgey of The Salvation Army said, “Sky is an exciting way to teach and involve kids in the things of God and how special they are to Him.”

Sky is for kids from first through sixth grade and will run from 10 a.m.-noon each day. For more information, call David Munford at 308-3467.
