Myrtle Ramona Dunn Parks, 83, of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away Tuesday July 17, 2012. 

A lifelong resident of the Catoosa County area, she was a former employee of Parkside Nursing Home and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Edward Parks, daughter, Janie Chard, parents, Walter and Una Mae Hannah Dunn, and two brothers, Billy and Charles Dunn. 

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, James Parks of Ringgold; four children, Linda (Larry) Templeton of Ringgold, Lamar Parks of Ringgold, Sherry (Harold) Peters of Ringgold, and Ronald (Mary) Parks of LaFayette; two sisters, Peggy Hullender of Tunnel Hill, and Bobbie Yates of Ringgold; eight grandchildren, 20 grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 20, in the funeral home chapel with Roger Templeton and Reverend Don Shipman officiating. Interment will follow at Anderson Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 19, from 3-9 p.m., and Friday until funeral time at the funeral home. 

Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel Ringgold.
