Mary Sue “Mamaw” Stiles, loving mother, grandmother and friend died peacefully in a local hospital on Saturday, January 26, 2013.

Mary Sue was born and raised on Englewood, Tn. She attended Gospel Lighthouse Baptist Church for many years.

She and her husband, Kermit, owned and operated Kermit’s BBQ Restaurant in Chattanooga for many years.

Mary Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit J. Stiles; son, Eddie Stiles; daughter Jannie Carol Stiles.

Survivors include her stepson, Darrell (Mary) Stiles of Englewood, Tn.; daughter, Brenda (Bob) Moses; sons, Kermit J. Stiles II, Lee (Cheryl) Stiles, Stanley (Sheila) Stiles, all of Chattanooga; sister, Dorothy Duff of Chattanooga; brothers, Curtis Raper and Kenneth Raper of Chattanooga and Junior Raper of Englewood; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 29, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, Jan. 28, from 4-8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
