Mosley, Alma Rose Brown (South Pittsburg)

Alma Rose Brown Mosley, 84, of South Pittsburg, TN, died on Saturday, October 19, 2013 with her family by her side at a local health center.

She was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church. She was a stay at home mom and raised her children to believe in God and to always do what was right. In her later years, she also worked at the former South Pittsburg Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward “Jack” Mosley; her son, Robert Mosley; grandson, Jared Elijah Blevins; parents, William and Ida Brown; brothers, Harmon “Pid”, Howard “Snooks” and Grover Brown; and sisters, Alice Sowell, Margaret Grayson and Katherine Matheson.

She is survived by her daughters, Ann (Jack) Ott, Linda(Charles) Daniels and Geraldine (George) Blevins; grandson, Joshua (Bridgett) Blevins; great-grandsons, Jacob Matthew and Elijah Lee Blevins; step-grandchildren, Lisa (Chris) Miller and Charlie Daniels; step-great-grandchildren, Christan, Emma, and Ava Miller; sister, Edna Mae Ryan; brothers, Joe Alvin and Grady Brown; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. CDT, Tuesday October 22. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. CDT on Monday, October 21 at the Tate Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.
