Charles William “Chuck” Porter, 51, of Menlo, Ga., died on Monday, February 18, 2013, at the Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Porter was born Feb. 23, 1961, in Miami, Fla., the son of Patricia Joan McGraw Campbell and the late Charles Alfred Porter. He had worked for Padgett Trucking as a truck driver. He attended Cedar Chapel Church, and was preceded in death by a son, Charles William Porter, Jr.
Survivors include his mother, Patricia Joan McGraw Campbell, brothers, Jerry Porter, Tom Porter, special friend, Brenda Guffey.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 20, at the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Don Mason officiating. Interment will follow in the Lyerly Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are Zachery Wells, Daniel Wells, Mike Gass, Stacey Mitchell, William “Bubba” Browning, Jerome Myrick.
Mr. Porter will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19.
