Sara Rich Steadman, 92, of East Ridge, died on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 in a local health care facility.
She was a native of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area and had lived many years in Sacramento, Ca. She retired in 1982 from the Civil Service with over 20 years of service. Following her retirement she moved back to East Ridge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard L. Steadman; parents, Robert and Lula Rich; and brother, R.D. Rich, Jr.
Survivors include her dearest friends and cousins Joe and Frances King; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held on Friday, Feb. 22, at 2:30 p.m. at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park with Reverend Billy Dean officiating.
Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
