Morgan, Barney Wayne, 62, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, died on April 19, 2013 at his residence, surrounded by his family.  

He was a sales representative in the optical industry for over 40 years, and currently he was employed by Better Optics.

He was a member at Council Fire and an avid golfer.  Barney was a member of St. Martin's Episcopal Church. He was affectionately called “Chief” by his grandson, Grady, whom he adored.  Barney was loved by all who knew him, and he will be greatly missed.

Surviving relatives are his wife, Margaret Morgan, daughter, Mandy (David) Colvin of Ooltewah; brothers, Jimmy Morgan, Dickie Morgan, Guerry Morgan, all of Chattanooga; sisters, Judy Faulkner, Janice Howard, Jeannie Cox and Jane Killian all of Chattanooga; grandson, Grady Colvin and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 22, at St. Martin's Episcopal Church with Father Jim Wallace officiating.

The interment will follow in Flintsprings Cemetery in Bradley County.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road.
