The Partnership for Families, Children and Adults announced that Tony Dovolani, professional dancer on ABC’s hit show “Dancing with the Stars” will be the special guest star at the 6th annual Dancing with the Chattanooga Stars event.

Chattanooga’s own local celebrity dance-off competition will take place on June 22 at the Tivoli Theatre. The event features eight local celebrities in a dance-off competition to win their own mirror ball trophy and raise money for their chosen Partnership program.

Mr. Dovolani, with his professional partner, Ashley Del Grosso Costa, will perform several dance routines at the event. They will also appear at the VIP Party to meet and take photos with VIP ticket holders.

“We are excited to have Tony Dovolani as our special guest star," says Sandra Hollett, Partnership CEO. “He performed at our event four years ago and was a Chattanooga favorite. Not only is he a great dancer and very popular but he’s a really wonderful person. I can’t wait to see his dance routines this year. He will definitely add to the already tremendous excitement of the evening.”

Mr. Dovolani has been a favorite on the popular ABC Show since the second season. He won the Mirror Ball Trophy, along with celebrity partner Melissa Rycroft, in the Season 15 All-Stars Competition. Season 16 paired Mr. Dovolani with famed country star, Wynona Judd. Mr. Dovolani’s professional body of work includes guest-hosting segments on “EXTRA”, the Golf Channel’s “The Morning Drive” and on ABC syndicated show “On The Red Carpet.” He was also featured as a special guest on the Dancing with the Stars: Las Vegas show. He is a frequent guest on “Good Morning America” giving viewers his special insight into the world of “Dancing with the Stars.”

“I am so happy to return to Chattanooga again," said Mr. Dovolani.  "The audiences here are great and the people are friendly.  I have a great performance planned with my partner, Ashley and I’m glad to be able to help support the great Partnership programs.”

Each Chattanooga celebrity is paired with a professional dancer from the local Fred Astaire Dance Studio where they rehearse their routine in 15+ dance lessons over three months. The competitor who raises the most money both before the event and on event night will win the Grand Dancing Champion Award. All proceeds will benefit Partnership programs.
