Oldest Living Member Of Red Bank Baptist Church Was 103

Harry Wells, formerly of Red Bank, died on Saturday, May 18, 2013 in Georgia. He was 103.

Harry was the oldest living member of Red Bank Baptist Church. He was a dedicated family man and will be missed by all who knew him.

Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Wampler Wells; parents, William T. and Nettie Wells; brother, Verdman Wells and a sister, Evelyn Dugger.

Harry is survived by his son, Bill Wells and daughter-in-law, Norma Wells of McDonough, Ga.; grandsons, William Wells, Jr. and wife, Michelle of Kennesaw, Ga.; Wesley Wells and wife Jennifer of Conyers, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Melanie, Mitchell, Jacob and Payton.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, at the North Chapel.

Services for Harry will be at 3 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home chapel with Dr. Fred Steelman officiating.  Burial will be in Buttram Cemetery in Dayton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Harry’s name to the building fund at Red Bank Baptist Church, 4000 Dayton Blvd, Red Bank, Tn. 37415 or to your favorite charity.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
