Millsaps, Shirley Faye (Cleveland)

Shirley Faye Millsaps, 68, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013 at the family residence. 

Mrs. Millsaps was a member of Freedom Church where her husband Rev. Jessie Lee Millsaps is pastor. She was a wonderful mentor to many people being very active in the church’s food bank and outreach ministry. “She was there for anyone that called”. 

She was the daughter of the late Steven and Roxie Parker Rodgers; and was also preceded in death by a son, Ricky Lee Millsaps; a sister; and three brothers.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Rev. Jessie Lee Millsaps; one son, Randy Millsaps and his wife Leslie of Benton; grandchildren, Christian Gibson of Benton and Lindsey Kirkley of Harrison; sisters, Bessie Rich of Lindsdale community of Polk County, Sue Brooks, Betty Cronan and Sylvia Ellis all of Cleveland; brothers, Charles Rodgers and Bill Rodgers both of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 15 at Freedom church with Rev. Annette White and Rev. Wallace Scroggins officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Lee, Edward, and Billy Millsaps, Steven Rodgers, Allen Martin, Ronnie Scroggins, Larry, Daryl and Tommy Scroggins serving as casket bearers. 

The family will receive friends Friday, June 14 from 5-9 p.m. at the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes who has charge of the arrangements.
