Lorna Shannon Wilson, 38, of Dayton, Tennessee, died on Tuesday, July 23, 2013.
Shannon was born on June 26, 1975. She was raised in Dayton, where she graduated with high honors from Rhea County High School. She also won the welding award while attending there. Shannon received an associates degree in Business Management from Chattanooga State and was awarded the Presidential Award for maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Wilson; step-mother, Mary Ellen Wilson; brother Jeremy Wilson; maternal grandmother, Evelyn Miles, paternal grandmother, Louise Thompson; and cousin, Christy Colvin.
She is survived by her mother, Grace Wilson; step-father, Bill Knox; brothers, Jimmy Headlee, Robbie Wilson; sister, Jamie McGinnis; special friends, Rick Reed, Candy Mullins; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of other friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Soddy Daisy.
