Plans are underway to convert a former church off Main Street for use as offices and live-work units.

Towson and Dede Ensberg are seeking rezoning at 501 E. 16th St. at the former New Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

The request comes before the Planning Commission next Monday at 1 p.m. at the County Courthouse.

The two-story facility includes 4,500 square feet.

The plan is to use the top floor for apartments and the lower floor for offices.

The Regional Planning Agency staff is recommending approval of the rezoning.
