Alberta L. Yates of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and a member of Living Water Ministries, died on August 5, 2013 at 3:05 p.m.
Mrs. Yates was preceded in death by her parents, Craig and Alice (Drake) Owings; grandson, Kevin Yates and granddaughter, Stephanie Miller; three sisters and one brother.
Mrs. Yates is survived by her husband, Ted Yates, her daughters, Karen Whitcraft, Crystal (Mike) Richards, and son, Mark ( Wendy) Yates, seven grandchildren, Paul (Andrea) Sweetman, William (Toni) Sweetman, and Brian Whitcraft, Derek Yates, Dustin (Tiffany) Richards Scottie Richards, and Courtney Howdyshell. Mrs. Yates also has eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Aug. 7, from 5-8 p.m. and Thursday, Aug. 8, from noon until the time of service at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Steve Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
