Worked Many Years At Sequoyah And Watts Bar

Frances J. Frye died on January 11, 2014 at her home in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee. She was surrounded by her family, friends, prayers and love. Her renewed faith in the grace of God brought her much comfort in her final days.   

She was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Reno, stepfather, Tom Reno, father, Clifford Edmonds, brother, Victor Edmonds, and nephew, Dean Edmonds.

She is survived by beloved grandson, Steven Frye, daughters, Robin Fuller and Lynn Fouts, sons, Lamar Frye and Scooter Reed, Sister, Linda Fine, sister-in-law, Becky Edmonds, much loved family, Leroy and Mary Green, Betty Trantham, Gary and Ruth Barnes, lifelong friends, Lonnie Coleman, Joy Hutsell and Linda Seals, nephews, cousins and friends.

Fran was a proud member of Labors Local Union 846 in Chattanooga.  She spoke often of her work at Sequoyah and Watts Bar and all of the friendships she had made during the years. Her weekend outings at the  Bakewell Flea Market, with Chris, Jeff, Albert and so many others, was her favorite pastime and hobby. 

The love and devotion that she had for her grandson, Steven, will be always be remembered.  Her sister, Linda, will never forget their morning coffee on the front porch as they planned the day.  Her bird feeders are empty.....for now.

She will greatly missed by her children, family and friends, but her presence will remain with us forever...

A memorial service celebrating the life of Fran will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home. 

Visitation is from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
