Congressman Chuck Fleischmann and Georgia House District 1 Rep. John Deffenbaugh were among those who spoke at a service for the Sanctity of Human Life at the National Memorial for the Unborn.

The founder of the memorial, Dr. Dennis Bizzoco, spoke to the group and explained how and why the memorial was established.

There were about 20 new name plaques added to the "National Memorial for the Unborn" wall at the end of the service.

Rep. Deffenbaugh said, "This building was the location of the Chattanooga abortion center, and now it offers those who have lost children to abortion and miscarriage a place to mourn and seek healing,"

The Memorial Wall is located at 6230 Vance Road. It is open 24/7.
