Sue Layfield Rogers, 91, of Cleveland, TN and formerly of Phenix City, AL, died Tuesday, September 30, 2014.
She was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL.
She was born on October 19, 1922 in Russell Co, AL to the late Ed and Susie Layfield; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Joel S. Rogers, II; and her grandson, Casey Rogers.
She is survived by her four children, Mona Berry (Larry Berry), Cindy Patton (George Patton), Joel Rogers III (Nancy Rogers) and Debra Johns (Larry Johns); seven grandchildren, Jenny Berry, Amy Williams, Phillip Weaver, Leslie Berry, Christopher Rogers, Sarah Goatley and Rachel Burgess; four great-grandchildren, Whitney Williams, Lily Burgess, and Oakley and Chapel Weaver; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2:15 p.m. Eastern time Saturday, October 4, at Lakeview Memory Garden in Phenix City, AL.
Her family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. on Saturday, October 4 at Vance Memorial Funeral Home.
