The Associated General Contractors Student Chapter plans to build three child-size potting tables, an outdoor storage shelving unit and a build picnic table around an existing tree for the outdoor garden classroom at the Child Development Center on campus.
"To develop their critical thinking skills, chapter members met directly with the clients (CDC staff), created and reviewed the plans, prepared a material list, discussed material acquisition, divided up labor, and proposed a schedule … just as they would in a real job situation," officials said.
