Linda J. Booker, 71, died on October 19, 2014 at Hospice of Chattanooga.

She was a graduate of Howard High School, class of 1962.  She was a member of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Wildwood, Ga.

Survivor include her husband and caregiver, Robert L. Booker, Jr.; daughter, Donna Booker; granddaughter, Danielle Jackson; great-granddaughter, Cadance White; sister, Diann Griffith; brother, Carl Roberts, both of Wildwood; sisters-in-law, Mary Roberts of Chattanooga; Annie "Bea" Johnson, Chattanooga; Louise (James) Hunter, Chattanooga; Mary Alice Butler, New Jersey;  Katherine and Melvin Proctar, Memphis; Lucille (Henry) Moore, Chattanooga; ex-sister-in-law, Anna Roberts; two special nieces, Carmen Bruell and Dawn Price; other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, Oct. 24, at 11:30 a.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery, with Reverend Dr. Jessie Broadnax officiating. The family will also receive friends from 10–11 a.m. at the funeral home, prior to graveside services.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the ALS Association in memory of Linda J. Booker.

The body will lie in state after noon on Thursday, Oct. 23, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
