William Dotson
“Billy” Ray Dotson, 64, of Henegar, Alabama, died on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at his home.
He retired from King Industries Sheet Metal Local #5. He loved to farm including growing watermelons, pumpkins and soy beans. He loved spending time with his family and adored grandchildren and he was of the Baptist faith
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orbin and Evelyn Dotson and sister, Barbara Ann Dotson Pankey.
Survivors include his children, William Kevin(Kelley) Dotson, Keri Dotson (Jeff) Davis, step-sons, Roy Shane Bates and Scotty Lamar (Sara) Bates, brothers, Sidney Dotson, James (Linda) Dotson, sisters, Sheila Dotson (Jackie) Lambert, Wanda Dotson (Kenneth) Farmer and LaVerne Dotson Giles, six granddaughters, five grandsons, two great-grandsons and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at 2 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with Reverend James Dotson and Reverend Ronnie Dotson officiating. Burial will follow at the Brown’s Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Oct. 28, from 4-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
