Jeffrey “Jeff” Houston Johnson, 53, of Gaylesville, Alabama, died on Friday, October 24, 2014, at his residence.
Mr. Johnson was born October 31, 1960, in Centre, Al., son of Christine Bradley and the late Jack Wayne Johnson. He had worked as a truck driver for R. D. Ray Motor Company for 31 years.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Glenda Lacey; and a niece, Cindy Lacey.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Sonja Michelle Brown Johnson; son, Corey Johnson; daughter and son-in-law, Keia and Mark Bailey; mother, Christine Johnson; brothers, Tommy (Kathy) Zuber, Mike (Lisa) Johnson, and Phil (Cindy) Johnson; a sister, Shelia (Dale) Ray; grandchildren, Peyton Johnson, Alexa Johnson, Kynlee Bailey, and Carson Johnson; in-laws, Dewey and Barbara Brown, affectionately known to him as “Dad and Mom”; special niece, Brandi Gilley; and dear friends, the McElroys.
In accordance with Mr. Johnson’s wishes, he was cremated and there will be no formal services.
Flowers will be accepted, but the family requests they be sent to their residence at 5375 County Road 80, Gaylesville, Al. 35973.
