BlueCross Recognized As A Best Place To Work For 2014

  • Monday, October 27, 2014

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee was recognized by Modern Healthcare magazine as one of its Best Places to Work for 2014.

The annual ranking is based on company programs and employee feedback. BlueCross shares the honor with health professional, technology and service organizations.

“This national honor deeply reflects what’s going on inside BlueCross,” said Bill Gracey, president and chief executive officer of BlueCross.

“In an ever-changing environment, we succeed because of our outstanding employees. We’re proud to have built a culture focused on our mission of delivering peace of mind to our customers and communities.”

To apply, BlueCross completed a comprehensive questionnaire with facts about its employees and programs in areas such as compensation, incentive and benefit packages, performance and talent management programs, workforce diversity and inclusion, wellness programs and community impact.

Additionally, hundreds of randomly-selected BlueCross employees responded to a confidential survey from the Best Companies Group on areas such as company leadership and planning, culture and communications, role satisfaction and working environment, training and development, pay and benefits as well as their overall satisfaction with the company.

Modern Healthcare says the recognition program, which is in its seventh year, “honors workplaces throughout the healthcare industry that empower their employees to provide patients and customers with the best possible care, products and services.”
