Brewster, Dewey Clayton (Summerville)

Dewey Clayton Brewster, 65, of Summerville, GA, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014 at his residence.

Mr. Brewster was born in Gaylesville, AL on December 26, 1948, son of the late Alf Brewster and Buena Vista Winkle Brewster. He was a person that loved to keep busy, whether it be building something, woodworking, working on his farm and anything that involved using his tractor. Mr. Brewster was a member of the Spring Creek Baptist Church was a self employed construction contractor.

Mr. Brewster was preceded in death by brothers, Hugh Brewster and Junior Brewster; and a daughter-in-law, Melinda Kaye Whisenaunt Brewster.

Mr. Brewster is survived by his son, Joey Brewster of Summerville; brother, Gordon Brewster of Adairsville; sisters, Betty Jean McCollough and Linda Gail Cagle of Sand Rock, AL and Pauline Steele and Bonnie Lou Brewster of Cedar Bluff, AL; granddaughter, Kelsea Brewster; mother of his son, Janice Brewster; special friend, Reba Childers Brewster; honorary grandchildren, Levi Lodge and Seth Lodge; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services for Mr. Brewster will be held Saturday, November 8, at noon with Rev. Chris Holman officiating. Private Interment will be on the family farm.

The family will receive friends Saturday, November 8, following the memorial service.

Coffman Funeral Home, Petitt Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
