Large Home On Signal Mountain Suffers Heavy Fire Damage

Walden's Ridge Emergency Services battled a three-alarm fire Monday afternoon.

At 4:10 p.m., the homeowner called 911 reporting a fire at 2674 Brenon Wood Lane, Signal Mountain. WRES responded and arrived reporting fire through the roof, in the attic and on the back of the house.

WRES immediately called for a mutual aid response for additional fire engines and manpower. The Signal Mountain Fire Department, Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department, Lone Oak Volunteer Fire Department, Red Bank Fire Department and Dunlap Volunteer Fire Department responded to assist WRES.

Over 30 firefighters were able to quickly contain the fire. Fire officials reported about $400,000 in damages.

The cause of the fire is undetermined and will be under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.

No injuries were reported, but Hamilton County EMS was on the scene for any potential injuries.

The homeowners are insured and will be staying with family.
