Adult Big Wheel Championship Makes Its Return For MAINx24

  • Tuesday, November 18, 2014

Yazoo Brewery is bringing their Big Wheel Championship back to MAINx24 for the third year on Saturday, Dec. 6.  This benefit for the Children's Advocacy Center of Hamilton County piqued interest when the event made its debut in the 24-hour party in 2012, and turned out to be quite a success for the Children’s Advocacy Center, said officials.

These adult-sized "big wheel" races will consist of co-ed teams of four racing in double-elimination relays on a predetermined course in heats of three teams. The winner of each heat will move on until there is a final heat of three teams, who will race for first, second and third place Big Wheel Championship Belts. All team members must be 21 years of age or older and all teams must consist of two males and two females.

The Children’s Advocacy Center of Hamilton County, Inc. was established as a private, non–profit agency in 1991. The Center’s mission is to serve those affected by alleged child abuse or neglect by offering help, hope, and healing. They help children overcome the trauma of abuse so they can lead normal, healthy, productive lives, thereby breaking the cycle of abuse.

Registration per four-member team is $100 and comes with a team T-shirt, which can be customized onsite before the race, a ticket redeemable for one Yazoo product and bragging rights for the next year. More information about the race can be found at www.chattanoogabigwheels.com.

Support for the Big Wheel Championship comes from Yazoo Brewery and ASA Engineering and Consulting.
