CHI Memorial To Offer Free Smoking Cessation Course

CHI Memorial’s Rees Skillern Cancer Institute will offer Freedom From Smoking, an American Lung Association program, in January. The eight-week course helps participants learn how to overcome tobacco addiction so they can start enjoying the benefits of better health. The program is offered in a small group setting and includes the following topics: lifestyle changes that make quitting easier, stress management, avoiding weight gain and staying smoke-free for good.

The program will hold meetings on Wednesdays, Jan.

7 – Feb. 25 from noon-1:30 p.m. with lunch provided.  The meetings will be held at the Joe and Virginia Schmissrauter Center for Cancer Support, Memorial Plaza Bldg., Suite 307. For more information or to register, call 423-495-7778.
