Hixson United Methodist Golden Agers Meet Monday

Golden Agers at Hixson United Methodist, 5301Old Hixson Pike,  will meet on Monday, at noon in the Fellowship Hall. Kevin Gray, director of Youth Ministries, will speak to about the youth initiative called "Sticky Faith". On the menu, there will be poppy seed chicken, rice, mixed vegetables, salad and apple crisp with ice cream.

Ash Wednesday Dinner and Service will be on Wednesday. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, the season leading up to Easter. Chef Lisa Bennett, is preparing homemade soup and salad for $5 in the Fellowship Hall, served from 5:15-6:15 p.m. Worship begins at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.

Midweek during Lent, there will be several special opportunities on Wednesdays during Lent (March 5 - April 9). Dinner will be homemade soup and salad beginning at 5:15 p.m. for $5, followed by classes and a new worship opportunity called Lenten Vespers, at 6:30 p.m.
