Smartt Fought Annexation

  • Monday, March 10, 2014

I have known Phil Smartt for 35 years and you will not find a stronger advocate for the little man.  He will defend us and fight for our rights.  Many a time I sat in the audience and listened to his booming voice standing up for what is moral and right.

This giant of a man fought annexation while chairman of the Waste Water Treatment Board in 2009. He made it so the county cannot annex us unless they have the money to put in sewer lines within three years of annexation. The county greatly slowed annexation as a result. He was there for us then and will be there for us again.

Smartt is as tenacious as a bulldog and we will be well watched over with him in our corner.
