Lookout Police Nab Burglary Suspect After Alarm Goes Off At Scenic Highway Home

Lookout Mountain, Tn., Police have arrested a burglary suspect after an alarm went off at a home on Scenic Highway near Fleetwood Drive.

In the incident Saturday, police said while they were checking the residence they came into contact with a white male in the downstairs den. He ran out the back door and into some woods towards Scenic Highway.

Officers gave chase and caught 58-year-old Ryszard Jaworski, a native of Poland who gave his address as Tacoma, Wash.

Police said Jaworski dropped a pile of jewelry at the back door of the residence.

He had forced his way inside using a crowbar, police said. 

Jaworski is charged with aggravated burglary, theft over $1,000, possession of burglary tools and evading arrest.

The arrests were made by Officers Cary Taylor and Dale Taylor.

Jaworski is due to appear in General Sessions Court on April 15.
