Boyd's Speedway To Host Cleveland's ShamRock Race March 22

  • Thursday, March 6, 2014

New Owner and operator of the Boyd's Speedway and former Hav-A-Tampa Dirt National Champion Dale McDowell of Chickamagua announced Wednesday that Boyd's Speedway will host the 19th Southern All-Star ShamRock race, Saturday night, March 22.

The 1/3 mile clay banked oval dirt track located on the Tennessee and Georiga border near East Ridge takes over the host duties of the annual event that used to kick-off the racing season at nearby Cleveland Speedway, less than 20 miles up Interstate-75. Recent bankruptcy proceedings (or the lack thereof) are making less likely that the Cleveland Speedway will host racing in its foreseeable  future, said officials.

More details will be made available in the coming days of the ShamRock event on Boyd's Speedway's official internet site www.boydsspeedway.net.
