Two Easter Sermons Sunday At First-Centenary United Methodist

At First-Centenary United Methodist Church, 410 McCallie Ave., Sunday, Dr. Doug Fairbanks will speak in the Sanctuary services at 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. on "The Meaning of Easter," with text from John 20:1-18. Services in the Vine at 9:30 and 10:45 a.m. will be led by the Rev. Brian Davis, who will speak on "Easter - What's the Big Deal," with text from Matthew 28:1-10..

Maundy Thursday communion and Tenebrae service in the sanctuary at 6 p.m.  Dr. Doug Fairbanks will preach, with music by the Chancel Choir.  Members of Cantad! Youth Ensemble will lead the Tenebrae portion of the service.

Candles will be extinguished and the altar stripped of its paraments and decorations during reading of scripture.
