A man in his 80s was killed at a railroad crossing in Dade County on Wednesday afternoon.
The man's pickup truck was struck by a train at a crossing along Highway 11 north of Trenton.
The location is between Carroll Road and Hummingbird Lane.
It happened about 4:30 p.m.
The truck was westbound.
Witnesses tried to get the vehicle to stop, but he apparently did not see the train.
There are crossing bars at the crossing.
