Caring Congregation Luncheon Set For Wednesday At First-Centenary United Methodist

A Caring Congregation Lunch and Share will be at First-Centenary United Methodist Church, 410 McCallie Ave., Wednesday in the Oak Street Center.

Order lunch in advance for $5.50. RSVP no later than Monday.  Come and hear updates on HIPPA, Prayer Ministry, new opportunities for visiting the sick and ways to become more involved as a family of members.

Wednesday the Prime Time program, sponsored by the UMW, will have Dr. Juanita Loundmonday as guest speaker. Her topic will be "Domestic Violence." New dinner reservations are required for this special program with barbarab@fcumc.org. Dinner is at 5:15 p.m. and the program at 6 p.m. Dr. Loundmonday is coordinator of the Family Justice Center in Chattanooga. She has survived domestic violence in her own life and thus aware of the need for family Justice Centers to assist victims and alleviate suffering. A member of New City Fellowship, she is the mother of three daughters and grandmother of 10.

The Rev. Chris Brown will speak at the 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. Sanctuary worship services Sunday on "Being in the Company of Fellow Believers," with text from John 20:19-31. Dr. Linda McDaniel will speak at the Vine service at 10:45 a.m. on "In God We Trust?"
