William Felix “Bill” Hindsman, Jr., 76, of Tunnel Hill, GA and formerly of Atlanta, died Thursday afternoon, May 8, 2014 at the local hospital.
Bill was born January 19, 1938 in Atlanta to the late William Felix and Thelma Lenore Baker Hindsman, Sr. Bill was retired from the City of Dalton Public Works Department and he proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Angie and Joe Brock of Morganton, GA and Karen and Jim Sprinkle of Newnan, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Rick Christy Hindsman of Grantville, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Steve Jane Hindsman of Hayesville, NC; sister and brother-in-law, Martha Faye and Gary Clodfelter of Gainesville, GA; special family, Jerry and LaDonna Gray and their children, Heath Gray, Amanda Russell and Krystle Keith; Jerry and Louise Hartness; Dean and Edna Perkinson; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 10, at 4 p.m. at Griffin Cemetery in Tunnel Hill, with Chaplain Jim Herman officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Gray, Heath Gray, Wesley Harp, Jerome Keys, Chuck Teal and Brett Teal.
