Whitfield County Schools Title I Parent Advisory Meeting

  • Friday, May 16, 2014

All parents of students in Whitfield County Schools are invited to a Title I Parent Advisory meeting on Tuesday from 5:30-6:30 p.m. The meeting will be at the central office building at 1306 South Thornton Avenue in Dalton.

The purpose of the meeting is for parents and community members to share their ideas and feedback regarding the district's improvement plan and parent involvement policy for the upcoming school year. The school district's current improvement plan is available for review on the Federal Programs page of the district website at www.whitfield.k12.ga.us.

Title I funds enhance educational opportunities for students by supplementing regular classroom services.

The goal is to help students master basic and advanced skills for their grade level in the core content areas of reading/language arts, math, science, and social studies.

All Whitfield County Schools parents are encouraged to attend the meeting. For questions or more information, please contact Lorijo Calhoun or Freida Talley at (706) 217-6733.
