Ronald "Ed" Gamble
Ronald “Ed” Gamble, 63, of Ringgold, died on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at a local hospital, with his family by his side.
He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and north Georgia area and was of the Baptist faith. He retired in 1990 from the City of Chattanooga with 17 years of services, and after his retirement he owned and operated North Georgia Pickup and Delivery for several years. Ed was known for his sense of humor, he never met a stranger, and he never forgot a face. He was an avid Tennessee Vols fan, he had a vast knowledge of popular culture, and he enjoyed attending the East Lake Reunion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Lillian Gamble; and brother, Larry Bates.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Teena Gamble; two children, Greg (Stephanie) Gamble of Nashville, and Stephanie (Noah) Lowe of Dunlap; two stepchildren, Neena (Steve) Livingstone of Edinburgh, Scotland and Kari (Eric) Grier of Rossville; brother, Roy Bates of Chattanooga; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, July 3, at 7 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 3-7 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
