Margaret Jewell Cox, 91, of Summerville, GA, died Saturday, July 19, 2014, at the Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Cox was born June 21, 1923, in Berea, AL, to the late William Jesse Lawson and Dora O’Bryant Lawson. She was retired from the Continental Can Company.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Glenn Humphrey.
Mrs. Cox is survived by her husband, Alfred C. Cox; daughter-in-law, Carolyne Humphrey; adopted child, Maxine Majors; grandchildren, David and Sonia Humphrey; and great-grandchildren, Jessica and Robert Humphrey.
In accordance with her wishes, Mrs. Cox was cremated and a private interment service will be held at the Alpine Cemetery at a later date.
