A Chattanooga man who was rushed to Erlanger Hospital after he was shot on his own front porch on Bailey Avenue by an alleged Gangster Disciples gang member said he has known the assailant since grade school.

Keevan Cecedric Addison, 26, told police he had just finished mowing his yard when he was shot by a man named William Darden.

He also said he had been having problems with Darden recently.

The man later identified Darden out of a police photo lineup.

Because the man was shot three times, police said it was clear Darden was trying to kill him.

Darden, who has prior felony convictions, was charged with attempted first-degree murder.
