This week U.S. News has released the 2015 Best Colleges Rankings, the 30th edition of this ranking, and its analytics platform, Academic Insights, placed Bryan College as no. 22 in the Regional Colleges South Rankings.

According to their website, Academic Insights is a “peer benchmarking and performance assessment tool” that “allows college, university and graduate school administrators the ability to create custom peer groups and compare their relative performance to others.”

The ranking takes many aspects into consideration, including applying, academic life, student life, campus safety, campus services, and cost and financial aid.

In addition, Bryan’s fall enrollment numbers have also been released, with 645 residential undergraduates.  Of these, 187 are new freshmen and 33 are new transfers.

The Class of 2018 is composed of 2.17 percent international students, 15.76 percent homeschooled students, 25 percent private schoolers, and 57.07 percent public schoolers.  On average, the freshman class had a high school GPA of 3.55, along with an average ACT/SAT conversion score of 23.25.  There are five Presidential Merit Scholars and two National Merit Finalists (one of whom received a perfect ACT score).  The class represents 22 of the United States and eight countries.
