Scenic City Camaro Club Raises Money For Children's Hospital

The Scenic City Camaro Club, Inc. will raise money through pledges per mile and donations for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals (Children's Hospital Foundation) and Erlanger Health System Foundations (Erlanger Center for Lung Health in memory of Tammy Hey).

They will meet at Mountain View Chevrolet in Chattanooga this Saturday, at 7 a.m.(ET) and travel in a cruise to the Cherohala Skyway to near Robbinsville, NC, then on the “Tail of the Dragon” and back to Chattanooga. There is a rain date of Nov. 1.

The event is open to all vehicles and each team (individuals in each vehicle) will get pledges and donations prior to the event. There is a driver's fee of $35 but waived if $50 or more in pledges are turned in at the start of the event.  Last year, over $2500 was raised from this event alone. This year, there will be awards for:

·         Grand Prize (Most money raised from pledges/donations turned in the day of the event).

·         Second Prize (Most pledges/donations collected over all – turned in no later than Oct. 1.)

·         Club Participation: trophy and $200 cash for the club that have the most participant vehicles to complete the cruise.

·        Long Haul: Trophy awarded for the participant who travels the farthest distance to the beginning of the event and completes the Pledge Cruise.

·         Drawings for door (drive) prizes at rest stops along the way.

The total distance of the trip is 268 miles and will end at the SCCC hosted “Stateline Cruise-in” at Gateway Mall in Fort Oglethorpe, GA that will already be in progress and will include a visit from Life Force weather and mission status permitting.
