Baylor senior Avery McIntosh was part of a group of students chosen for the Spoleto Study Abroad 2014 Arts and Humanities immersion program in the medieval town of Spoleto, Italy this summer.

The educational program featured a curriculum in the arts. Twice-weekly day trips to cultural centers such as Florence, Tivoli, Siena, and other historic cities offered Avery and other students the opportunity to experience artistic and cultural treasures first-hand. Avery, a boarding student from North Carolina, participated in the photography portion of the program.

Spoleto Study Abroad is committed to bringing an integrated style of learning to students interested in pursuing their artistic and academic interests as they explore the rich cultural heritage of central Italy, said officials.

From July 9–Aug. 2, 2015, Spoleto Study Abroad will be offering a summer program in creative writing, visual art, photography, vocal music, drama, instrumental music, and new in 2015, filmmaking.  For an opportunity to participate in the 2015 summer program, visit www.spoletostudyabroad.com.
