Cleveland State’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is hosting two upcoming workshops, Preparing for Entrepreneurship: Personal Finance Preparation will be held on Wednesday, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in room 130 of the Technology Building on the CSCC campus. This seminar is sponsored by the SBDC and will be presented by Mary Johnston, staff accountant with Sound Accounting, PLLC. The other, Business Plan Development Workshop, will be held on Thursday, from 9-11 a.m., also in room 130 of the Technology Building.

In the Preparing for Entrepreneurship: Personal Finance Preparation workshop, participants will learn techniques specifically designed for small business owners, entrepreneurs, and self-employed individuals for managing personal finances with a focus on budgeting, insurance and using credit wisely.

The second workshop, Business Plan Development, presented by David Hudson, Small Business Development Center director, will walk participants through the process of creating their own business plan. Following that overview, participants will begin working on their own plans in class using the handouts given during the workshop. The SBDC small business specialists will be available for individual assistance during this time. Participants are welcome to bring laptops or tablets to the class to work through the business plan templates.
