Helen Ackerman Harris, 91, of Fort Oglethorpe, died on September 20, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Harris and son, Johnny Harris.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Gordy, sons, Freddie (Cecilia) Harris, Doug (Pam) Harris, and Ben (Debbie) Harris. 10 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Sept. 22, at 3 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Neal Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakewood Memory Gardens South.
The family will receive friends on Monday, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
