Elizabeth Flora Turner, 87, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014 in a local health care facility.
She was a life-long resident of Bradley County and attended Parkway Baptist Church in Cleveland.
She was the daughter of the late Vada Taylor Tanksley and Abe Tanksley; and was also preceded in death by her sisters, Emma Lee Guffey, Elaine Teats and Edna Woodward; and her brothers, Raymond Tanksley and Jess Tanksley.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Eugene Turner; a sister, Edith Gates; brother, Richard Tanksley all of Cleveland; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Clyde and Mary Frances Turner of Burnsville NC, Charles and Diane Turner of Knoxville, Wilma Epperson of Cleveland and Lola Tanksley.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 30 at the Wildwood Ave. Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Pastor Shane Lawson and Rev. Joe Lockman officiating. The interment will follow in the Fort Hill Cemetery with nephews serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends Monday, September 29 from 5-8 p.m. at the Jim Rush Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
