Clyde Herbert Willingham, 73, of Summerville, Georgia, died on Monday, September 29, 2014, at his residence after an extended illness.
Mr. Willingham was born March 29, 1941, in Menlo, GA, the son of the late John B. Willingham and Stella Parker Willingham. Mr. Willingham was a retired supervisor of Reichhold Chemical, a member of the Perennial Springs Baptist Church where he was a former Sunday School Superintendent. He was preceded in death by brothers, Jimmy Willingham, John-Ed Willingham, sisters, Lucille Thornberry and Jackie Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Brooks Willingham, daughters and sons-in-law, Cindi & Pete Vaughn, Mindi Cole & Kelly Young, Kristi & Bryan Daniels, grandchildren, Sara Beth Bender, Emily Spears, Kelsy Young, Clint Daniels, Hagan Young, Courtney Daniels, great-grandchildren, Brancyn Spears, Oaklyn Young, and sisters-in-law, Irene Bishop, Wilene Bishop.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2014, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alton Stamey and Rev. Waydell Howell officiating with interment in the Lyerly Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jeff Smith, Eddy Willingham, Rodney Bishop, Bobby Goodnight, Hagan Young, Clint Daniels. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Perennial Springs Baptist Church.
Mr. Willingham will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 30, 2014.
