Ivan Ray Johnson, age 70, a lifelong resident of the Lusk community in Pikeville, went to be with the Lord September 29, 2014.
He was a member of the Cupbearer Ministry. He also enjoyed camping, meeting with the guys at Pailo Market, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, Ivan L. "Doc" and Cecil Johnson. Ivan is survived by his best friend and wife of 48 years, Idell Hankins Johnson; daughter, Lynn (Ernest) Stephens; son, Steven Ray Johnson and special friend Shauna Hobbs, all of Dunlap; daughter, Stacie (Jimmy) Smith, Pikeville; six grandchildren: Brandon, Michaela, Lacey, and Maggie Johnson, Jason (Rhonda) Smith, Ashley Smith; three great-grandchildren Caleb, Kimber Smith, Paden Argo; three sisters: Alma (Billy Joe) Smith), Dunlap; Billie (Randall) Bryant, and Rita (Israel) Spaulding, both of Naples, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday, October 3, at 2 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Michael Schrum and Bishop Rita Partin officiating. Burial will be in Collier Cemetery.
